All our motors come with a one (1) year manufacturer parts limited warranty on manufacturer defects plus our commitment to keep your motor running for years after the warranty by stocking low cost repair parts that you can easily install. This also includes a 30-day warranty on the power cords. If your item is defective and your warranty is still valid, replacement parts & instructions are provided at cost of the manufacturer. PN 29008 on the Model 80 motor is an engineer safety sheer pin. Sheer pins only sheer when the motor is under extreme stress or improper installation as outlined in the owners manual. Therefore PN 29008 is not covered under the manufacture parts limited defect warranty.

If you wish not to repair yourself the motor and power cord can be shipped to the manufacture at the cost of the customer to be repaired by the manufacture. 

If a warranty is no longer valid, a repair, shipping, & parts costs will apply.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions

1. Warranty Eligibility

Purchased Extended Warranties are valid only when accompanied by a copy of the original purchase receipt. The original purchase receipt is required to verify the warranty purchased, the date of purchase, and the product covered under the warranty.

2. Warranty Claims

No prior contact with Add-A-Motor, Inc. is required or recommended to submit a warranty claim.

Warranty claims are processed only upon receipt of the required documentation and the motor. Add-A-Motor, Inc. does not process warranty claims by telephone, email, social media, or other forms of communication. Customers submitting warranty-related inquiries will be directed to these Warranty Terms & Conditions and instructed to submit a completed warranty claim.

To submit a warranty claim, customers must:

• Mail only the motor unless otherwise instructed by Add-A-Motor, Inc.

• Include a copy of the original purchase receipt.

• Download, complete, sign, and include the official Add-A-Motor, Inc. Warranty Claim Form.

Failure to include all required documentation may delay or prevent processing of your warranty claim.

3. Warranty Claim Form Requirements

A completed Warranty Claim Form is required for every warranty submission.

The Ship To section of the Warranty Claim Form must contain the address where you would like your repaired or replacement motor returned.

The payment information section, including the credit card authorization, must be completed in its entirety. The credit card information is used only if return shipping charges or replacement parts are required because the warranty claim is determined not to be covered under this Limited Manufacturer's Parts Warranty.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. is not responsible for incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, or missing information provided on the Warranty Claim Form.

Warranty submissions that cannot be processed due to incomplete or missing information will be placed in the Unclaimed Warranty Department for a maximum of five (5) business days. If the required information is not received within that time, Add-A-Motor, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the warranty claim and dispose of the submitted item without further notice.

4. Return Shipping

Warranty repairs or replacement motors will be returned to the shipping address provided in the Ship To section of the completed Warranty Claim Form.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. is not responsible for shipping delays, lost shipments, or misdeliveries resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or illegible customer-provided shipping information.

5. Warranty Coverage

This warranty is a Limited Manufacturer's Parts Warranty and covers defects in materials or workmanship occurring during normal use.

At the sole discretion of Add-A-Motor, Inc., defective components may be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished parts of equal or greater performance.

6. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from, including but not limited to:

• Accidental damage.

• Intentional damage.

• Modification damage.

• Abuse or neglect.

• Improper installation.

• Improper operation.

• Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

• Improper maintenance.

• Cosmetic damage that does not affect product operation.

• Any condition determined by Add-A-Motor, Inc. not to be a manufacturing defect.

All returned motors are subject to inspection to determine warranty eligibility.

7. Turnaround Time

Warranty claims are processed in the order they are received.

Once a motor has entered the repair queue, the typical repair time is 2–4 business days.

During periods of high demand, seasonal volume, holidays, product launches, or other unforeseen circumstances, turnaround times may increase significantly. Customers should expect that repairs may require 30–60 days during these peak periods.

8. Credit Card Authorization

By signing the Warranty Claim Form, you authorize Add-A-Motor, Inc. to inspect your motor and determine whether the damage is covered under this Limited Manufacturer's Parts Warranty.

If inspection determines that the damage is not covered under warranty, you authorize Add-A-Motor, Inc. to charge the credit card provided on the Warranty Claim Form for the cost of replacement parts, applicable return shipping charges, and any other authorized repair charges necessary to return the motor to working condition. By signing the Warranty Claim Form, you acknowledge that Add-A-Motor, Inc. is not required to contact you for additional authorization before processing these charges.

9. Limitation of Liability

This warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts covered under this warranty.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, labor costs, installation costs, removal costs, shipping delays, or any damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.

10. Governing Law

These Warranty Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana.

11. Rights Reserved by Add-A-Motor, Inc.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. reserves the sole right to inspect every returned motor and determine whether a warranty claim qualifies for coverage under this Limited Manufacturer's Parts Warranty.

Add-A-Motor, Inc. reserves the right to deny any warranty claim that does not comply with these Warranty Terms & Conditions or where inspection determines that the damage is not the result of a manufacturing defect.

If a warranty claim is denied because it does not qualify for warranty coverage, or if the required claim information is not provided within five (5) business days after placement in the Unclaimed Warranty Department, Add-A-Motor, Inc. reserves the right to dispose of the submitted motor without returning it to the customer.
