The Model 80 is a very compact unit. Simply remove the cord pulley from your drapery or vertical blind cord. The motor fits in the cord loop without modification. Attach to wall with included hardware. Plug-in ready to use.
The Model 80 can traverse drapery and vertical blinds, or rotate vertical blinds.

TRAVERSING DRAPERY AND VERTICAL BLINDS.
Attach motor to existing cord loop.
If your track has "roller-carriers", motor can traverse 10-feet one-way or 15-feet center open.
If your track has "sliding-carriers", motor can traverse 8-feet one-way or 12-feet center open.
Motor adjustment dials permit you to set automatic stop positions: open, closed, any in-between.
Maximum fabric weight 35 pounds.
ROTATING VERTICAL BLINDS
Attach motor to existing chain loop. Chain connector can pass through motor without damage. Motor adjustment dials permit you to set two automatic stop positions: open, closed, in-between.
If your chain does not have an existing loop, please call us and we will explain a simply option.
TRAVERSING AND ROTATING THE SAME VERTICAL BLINDS
To traverse and rotate the same vertical blind requires two (2) Model 80 motors. Please note that a standard wall outlet has polarized plug receptacles and cannot accept two motors. We can furnish a UL Listed replacement outlet that can accept both motors ($21.50 additional). An alternate solution is to use your own extension cord and simply plug both motors into the cord outlets.
SECURITY FEATURE
The Model 80 has a special feature that will please you. When you travel on vacation you can plug the motor into your own lamp timer switch. Then, your window covering will automatically open each morning and close at night for a natural look that can enhance your home security. Some customers like this feature so much that they leave the motor plugged into a timer. This adds
convenience because automatic operation eliminates the daily chore of manually opening and closing the window covering. It can also dramatically reduce heating and air-conditioning bills, and prevent sun-fading of floors, carpets, furnishings.
WHAT IS INCLUDED WHEN YOU BUY MOTOR AND REMOTE CONTROL
The Model 80 remote control system includes:
- A compact, safe, low voltage DC motor in a decorator white housing.
- Adjustment dials that allow you to set the desired opened and closed positions.
- A UL Listed AC-DC Adapter with white housing and 6-foot long white cord.
- Our "Butler" multi-channel radio (RF) remote control is now available
with the Model 80. This system included transmitter, battery, and one receiver.
Transmitter has a 30-foot "no-aim" range. Its signal can penetrate fabric and even sofas, therefore
you can still control the motor when furniture is in the way. Another benefit is that you can
control a table lamp or other device in the same room by adding an extra receiver (only $17.50)

CHILD PROTECTION FEATURES
The Model 80 satisfies the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guideline to eliminate exposure to cord or chain loops. It meets the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) guideline for an affixed taper resistant device to secure cords and chains in a taut position. Motor run time limited to approximately 40 seconds. Safety guard and sensor can automatically interrupt or prevent operation. Manual switch can instantly stop motor. Low voltage design (12-volts DC) and approved AC-DC Adapter. Remote control UL Listed and meets FCC guidelines.
